At the same time, he has always sought to fully develop his skills and interests — which, incidentally, are many — and both on and off the tennis court he has helped players of all levels and at different stages of their sporting careers. Examples that come to mind include the many clinics he has delivered around the world for young talents, players’ parents, and fellow coaches.
Moreover, among the “qualities” I mentioned earlier, Juanma has had from a very young age a natural ability to handle situations that others find awkward or difficult — particularly negotiations. These moments, which arise in many areas of life as well as in sport, are often decisive in achieving the best outcomes (sporting, financial, and personal). It is precisely here that Juanma performs with remarkable confidence and effectiveness. This is a skill I have always admired, and one for which I frequently seek his advice and guidance.
