The second GPTCA C-Level international coaching course certified by ATP was held at the Beijing Olympic Park (September 30-October 2) during the ATP China Open event.
The course was hosted by Mr Zhang Wei, GPTCA’s representative in China, and it was co-organised by Beijing Road to Grand Slam Sports Culture Development company and Guo Ao Li Xian Beijing company. 36 Chinese tennis coaches participated in the course. Mr Wang Fuzhang, former head coach of the Chinese national tennis men’s team and former Chinese Davis Cup team captain, also came to the site as a special guest. After the course, Mr Wang was awarded the A* level by the Board.
An impressive set of expert speakers included Alberto Castellani (GPTCA President, ATP Coach), Dirk Hordorff (GPTCA Board member and Vice President), Lars Graff (Director of ATP Officiating/Supervisor of ATP World Tour), Seif Wardani (Senior Physiotherapist of ATP World Tour), Sergio Sabadello (first foreign head coach of Russia Davis Cup team and former coach of Guillermo Cañas, Jose Luis Clerc, Teymuraz Gabashvili), Juan Manuel Esparcia (former coach of Guillermo Garcia Lopez, Anke Huber, Frederico Gil and Best Coach of Spain in 2010).
